In the town of Igboora, located in Oyo State, Nigeria, twins hold a special place in the community. The town boasts the highest number of twins births in the world, and each year, twins from both within and outside the town come together to celebrate their shared bond, a celebration that takes the form of the "World Twins Festival."
I had the opportunity to attend the festival and capture its many moments and moods. My focus was on the twins themselves - the individuals who make up this unique and cherished community. I captured the faces of twins from all walks of life, some who had traveled long distances to be there, others who called Igboora home.
Each set of twins had their own story to tell, and I was struck by the depth of connection and friendship between them. Some twins were identical, others fraternal, but they all all shared a bond that was apparent in every shot.
